When I published my first book with Harvard Business Review Press in 2013, my business took a very different turn.

Landing a book deal with a major publishing house can be extremely helpful if your goal is to:

Build your reputation as an expert in your field
Attract new clients and business opportunities
Enable you to command premium fees
Launch a paid speaking career
Secure prominent media opportunities

But it’s not easy to know how to break in. In 2009, I wrote three different book proposals – all of which were turned down, repeatedly, because I didn’t know how the process worked.

I want to demystify the process for other talented professionals, and give you access to the information – and contacts – you need to succeed.
